Elon Musk Apologizes For The Tweet Comparing George Soros To Magneto

Magneto was a Holocaust survivor in the X-Men series as George Soros went through the events while growing up in Hungary.

Elon Musk apologized for company George Soros to the X-Men villain, Magneto, after his comment on Twitter.

“It was really unfair to Magneto,” Musk said on Twitter. “I’d like to apologize for this post.”

A Twitter account that was affiliated by the Israeli government slammed Musk for his comments as antisemitic. He was also criticized from other Jewish affiliated organizations for these comments.

The feud between Musk and Soros com as Musk had claimed that Soros “hated humanity.”

“You assume they are good intentions. They are not. He wants to erode the very fabric of civilization. Soros hates humanity,” Musk said in a tweet about his view of opposition of Soros’ beliefs.

Musk previously compared Soros to Magneto in a tweet.

“Soros reminds me of Magneto,” Musk said on a tweet on Monday.

Magneto is a fictional character as the main villain on the comic book series, X-Men. Writers of the popular comic book series revealed that Magnet was a Holocaust survivor. His actual name is Erik Lehsherr.

Soros was born in Hungary to a Jewish family. He survived the Nazi occupation of his country of birth. In 1947, Soros moved to the United Kingdom where he received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Philosophy from the London School of Economics.

He is known as “the man who broke The Bank of England” as result of a short sale of $10 billion worth of pound sterling during the 1992 Black Wednesday UK currency crisis.

Over the years, Soros has been a major donor of the Democratic Party where he had donated the presidential campaigns of former President Barack Obama, incumbent President Joe Bide, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Other contributions Soros made included district attorneys in other metropolitan areas included George Gascon of Los Angeles, Larry Krasner of Philadelphia, and Kim Foxx of Chicago, all whom are facing criticism of soft on crime policies.

Soros had previously invested in Tesla, but recently sold his shares of the company. He is currently worth $6.7 billion who heads The Open Society Foundation. Over the years, Soros drew the ire of conservatives over his support for progressive causes.

“Magneto’s experiences during the Holocaust as a survivor shaped his perspective as well as his depth and empathy. Soros, also a Holocaust survivor, gets attacked nonstop for his good intentions which some Americans think are bad merely because they disagree with this political affiliations,” said Brian Krassenstein in a tweet, an independent journalist who was tweeting with Musk about the Soros-Magneto comparison.

Musk has announced a new CEO for Twitter as former NBC Universal executive, Linda Yaccarino, as he will continue he his role as the executive chairman and the CTO. He will remain as CEO for his other companies including SpaceX and Tesla. Twitter is under the umbrella of X Corp, a private company owned by Musk.
