C-3PO’s Head And Iconic Film Props To Hit Auction In London

Star Wars fans have the chance to own C-3PO's head and other legendary movie memorabilia in a multi-million pound auction.

LONDON — Fans of the legendary film franchise have the opportunity of owning C-3PO’s head, which is among other props from benchmark movies put on sell.

The iconic golden headpiece constitutes over 1800 piece collection of various film as well as television memorabilia, which are lined up for auction in London starting November 9 through to Nov. 12 this year. 

The sale, headed by Propstore, will highlight products from the movie franchises such as Indiana Jones and James Bond. The sale shall also feature A Nightmare On Elm Street with the estimated value of the auction expected to be over 12 million pounds.

The reverend gold head of C-3PO, the renowned droid from Superstar Wars, is anticipated to retail for over one million pounds at the sale.

The prestigious head which lights up, featured for the first instance in Star Wars film produced in 1977 and owned to Anthony Daniels, a famous actor.

Anthony Daniels has featured as C-3PO in all the key Star Wars movies. He has further performed the character in TV spin-offs, entailing Ahsoka that presently streaming on Disney. 

Besides, Daniels is selling other “Star Wars” memorabilia.

“We have his complete archive from his time of working on the ‘Star Wars’ films so that includes some of the props and body components and parts, his head, his hands, his feet,” said Propstore founder and Chief Executive Stephen Lane. 

“We have his original scripts with the annotations in there as well,” he added.

Costumes are also put on sale such as a shirt, waistcoat alongsided trousers DiCaprio, which were worn  in “Titanic” estimated at (100,000 – 200,000 pounds), Honey Ryder’s bathrobe as dressed by Ursula Andress in “Dr. No” approximated at (70,000-140,000 pounds), as well as Johnny Depp’s stunt costume from “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” selling at (50,000-100,000 pounds).

Moreover, more products are put on sale during auction for example the whip used during  Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Captain America’s shield in Captain America. Others  include Batman’s battle suit used in Batman (1989) and Kruger’s metal glove used in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).
