According to the world’s cleantech community, which 100 private companies today are most likely to make significant market impact over the next five to 10 years?
International research and consulting company Cleantech Group answers that question with its annual Global Cleantech 100 list, now in its 15th year. The 2024 list includes two Israeli companies: BeeHero and Copprint.
BeeHero, based in Tel Aviv and Fresno, California, was cited in the Agriculture & Food category. Founded in 2017, the company developed a beehive management platform including in-hive sensors to monitor colony health and pollination activity.
In 2023, BeeHero managed over 200,000 hives, its sensors collecting over 10 million hive samples daily. The company was also recognized by CNBC on its 2023 Disruptor 50 list.
“The fusion of building a genuine business, gaining significant traction, and making a positive impact is what fuels the enthusiasm of the BeeHero team,” said Omer Davidi, CEO and cofounder of BeeHero.
“By providing unprecedented, data-based transparency into the process of pollination, we’re helping to advance sustainable agriculture and safeguard the future of global food security. We look forward to continuing to innovate to further the sustainability goals of beekeepers, growers, and agriculture industry stakeholders across the globe,” he added.
Copprint, founded in 2016, was cited in the Materials & Chemicals category. Headquartered in Jerusalem, Copprint makes conductive nano copper inks for printed electronics.
Copprint’s green circuits solution for sustainable manufacturing of circuit boards , compostable antennas, and lower cost photovoltaic cells is globally recognized. The company was recently awarded the Climate Solutions Prize in Israel – a $1 million investment from Capital Nature and previously won a gold Edison Award for Sustainability and Environmental Impact.
Cleantech Group received 25,435 nominations from over 65 countries for the 2024 list. These companies were weighed and scored to create a short list of 330 companies that were reviewed by the 80 members of Cleantech Group’s
Expert Panel. The final 100 were chosen based on the panel’s evaluation of the company’s innovation, market and ability to execute. The featured companies will be recognized at the upcoming Cleantech Forum North America on January 22-24 in San Diego.
