Curmel “Big Deal” Moton, an 18-year-old prospect, was just added to the undercard of the boxing match between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal. On Saturday, July 6th, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, he will fight 36-year-old Russian journeyman Nikolai Buzolin (9-8-1, 5 KOs).

Moton had excellent attacking skills in his battle with Cuba by consistently pressing forward and varying his attack. Moton committed a few defensive errors in a highly action-packed encounter.
Although Moton was able to demonstrate his strong chin, Cuba was able to even things out with a few well-placed shots. There were several exchanges between the two boxers during the exciting Moton vs. Cuba match. Although Anthony Cuba was competitive, Moton made most of the striking shots.
All three judges scored the match 80-72 for Moton, earning him a unanimous decision victory at the end of the eight rounds of competition. On Saturday night, the rapidly improving prospect will try to record his fourth victory of the professional era. The deft veteran Nikolai Buzolin will be facing him; he is used to utilizing a range of feints and changing positions frequently. Curmel Moton (3-0, 2 KOs) is a very skilled prospect with all the necessary tools.
