— With teams being eliminated and the tournament heating up, the round of 16 has delivered some of the most thrilling contests so far, sparking excitement among fans.

Dennis Mwiti, a football enthusiast, has been among the football fans enjoying the tournament as it progresses. The host nations have all been eliminated, and now their citizens have to watch other teams play. Although exciting, there have also been some controversies around certain results.

England faced Mexico in their round-of-16 encounter, which was quite enjoyable and entertaining. Mexico showed their capabilities when they met Ecuador and beat them 2-0, with the help of the fans around the stadium. However, when they played England, this was not enough to push the hosts through, as they suffered a 3-2 defeat against the 10 men of England.

Jarell Quansah found himself on the wrong side after he got red-carded in the 54th minute of the match, leaving England to finish the match with 10 men. It was a tough task, but they managed to pull it off and went on to win the match in the allotted time.

On the other hand, Morocco was facing Canada at Houston Stadium. This was not the home advantage they were hoping for as they played outside their country. They proved to be too much for the co-hosts, Canada, as they went on to score three goals without any reply from Canada.

Morocco have made it to the quarter-finals for the second consecutive time and will face France in their next match at Boston Stadium, Foxborough. Morocco is the only African team left in the tournament after Egypt was eliminated by Argentina, which mounted an impressive comeback from 2-0 down to score 3 goals in 10 minutes and win 3-2.

“I'm enjoying every moment of it. This knockout stage has been interesting," said Dennis Mwiti.”

With more yet to come, the tournament is set to end with a bang as all the remaining teams have their eyes on this highly coveted prize at the end of the tournament.
