— Valiant Technical Services Inc., a small-business federal contractor specializing in hazardous material logistics, received an estimated $32.1 million contract modification to keep supplying chemical management services to the Air Force, as announced on war.gov.

The award (P00008) exercises the first one-year option on a base contract signed in 2025. It stands as the largest contract ever granted to the company, surpassing a prior record of $22.5 million. The hybrid firm-fixed-price, fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment and time-and-material arrangement covers chemical management and third-party logistics services, funded with fiscal 2026 defense working capital funds.

Valiant delivers logistics and hazardous material management to defense customers, extending its Air Force work in Georgia through July 2027 according to Google. The parent, Valiant Integrated Services, is a global government services contractor with 4,500 employees working across more than 120 project sites worldwide according to onevaliant.com. Federal records show the corporate family has received over $446.1 million in federal contracts since its founding according to highergov.com.

The Defense Logistics Agency locks in a proven vendor for chemicals and third-party warehousing that keep aircraft maintenance moving, while Valiant gains a full second year of guaranteed revenue and up to three more option periods. The contracting activity is Defense Logistics Agency Distribution, based in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, with performance centered in Georgia. The deal marks the second contract awarded to Valiant in 2026, lifting the company’s total contract value for the year to $43 million.

Measured against the wider agency portfolio, the award ranks as a mid-size deal. It falls between the 2026 Defense Logistics Agency portfolio’s year-to-date minimum of $9 million and its maximum of $1,525 million. Nationwide, this award was one of 29 Department of Defense contracts issued on July 31, 2026.

Most readers will never see the paperwork, yet the work touches everyday defense operations. Chemical management and third-party logistics keep solvents, lubricants and other regulated supplies flowing to maintenance crews, reducing the risk of grounded aircraft and mishandled hazardous waste.

This has happened before for Valiant. The company holds a long record of Defense Logistics Agency work, including prior awards for chemical management and third-party logistics support valued in the tens of millions according to Google. Exercising option years on multiyear vehicles is routine for established logistics vendors.

The next decision rests with the Defense Logistics Agency, which may exercise a second option period as the current term nears its July 31, 2027, completion date. A date for that decision has not been announced.

Defense logistics has repeatedly reshaped military readiness, as happened during earlier supply reforms. The Defense Logistics Agency traces its roots to 1961, when the Pentagon consolidated scattered supply operations into a single agency according to onevaliant.com. Decades of consolidation gave the agency oversight of billions of dollars in materiel and made third-party logistics vendors central to sustaining forces. Contractors that mastered hazardous material handling became durable fixtures, winning renewals like the one Valiant secured this week.

This contract represents the 2nd contract awarded to Valiant Technical Services Inc., in 2026, bringing the company’s total contract value for the year to $43,002,631. It is also the 138th Department of Defense contract awarded in Virginia during 2026. This is the largest contract ever awarded to Valiant Technical Services Inc., surpassing the company’s previous record of $22,545,627, and it is notable within the Defense Logistics Agency portfolio. Specifically, it falls between the 2026 Defense Logistics Agency portfolio’s year-to-date minimum of $9,000,000 and maximum of $1,525,000,000. Overall, this award was announced among 29 Department of Defense contracts issued nationwide on July 31, 2026.
