WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump nominated Peter Mansfield, a veteran federal prosecutor in New Orleans, to serve as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Trump said the nominee has the backing of Louisiana Senators John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy, and he praised Mansfield’s more than two decades of public service.
