WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump nominated Hung Cao, the acting secretary of the Navy and a 25-year combat veteran, to lead the service permanently. Trump made the announcement in a post on Truth Social, calling Cao a warrior and urging the Senate to confirm him quickly.
