Trump Shares Photos of Neglected Golf Driving Range
Trump posts eight captionless images showing deteriorating equipment, overgrown vegetation, and scattered debris at an unidentified golf facility.
WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump posted eight photographs showing what appears to be a neglected golf driving range, offering no caption or explanation for the images.
The photographs depict a facility in visible disrepair. A green Range Servant ball dispenser sits on bare dirt beneath mature trees, surrounded by rust-colored barrels and wooden enclosures. A sign reads “STARTER” and “WELCOME GOLFERS,” though the lettering appears partially obscured by age and weather.

This is Trump’s first message released today, and the last post was 3 days ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 32 of his 508 posts over the last 30 days classified as uncategorized posts.
Several sections of dark rubber-backed matting, consistent with driving range hitting mats, lie piled and scattered across a grassy area bordered by chain-link fencing. The mats appear aged, with accumulated debris on their surfaces. An orange post or marker stands near the fence line.

One image captures Sunbelt-branded heavy equipment parked on open ground. Another shows machinery bearing the John Deere name amid branches and dense leaf cover. A separate photograph displays coiled electrical cables or rubber hoses lying on the ground with no apparent organization.
Trump did not identify the location of the facility or explain why he shared the images. The post arrived after a three-day gap in his truthsocial activity, breaking a stretch that marked one of his longest quiet periods in recent weeks. No text accompanied the photographs beyond the words captured in the images themselves.

The purpose of the post remained unclear. Without a caption, the images could depict a facility Trump intends to criticize, a property undergoing renovation, or a site he visited for other reasons. Range Servant and John Deere, the two equipment brands visible in the photographs, are common fixtures at commercial golf driving ranges across the United States.

President Trump is the author of The Art of the Deal, Think Like a Billionaire, and Think Big. Analyst and Trump supporter Rod Martin points to The Art of the Deal, Trump's 1987 book, as an explanation of his deal-making philosophy: making big announcements, pivoting often in public statements and, Martin says, ultimately getting what he wanted all along. Critics contend that Trump's books were published decades ago or were aimed at making money, not shedding light. "Generally," Martin said, "critics don't read The Art of the Deal. If they did, they would understand."
