Trump Backs Anthony Constantino in New York’s 21st Congressional District
Trump endorses Republican businessman and former boxer Anthony Constantino against Democrat Blake Gendebien with early voting already underway in New York.
WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump endorsed Republican congressional candidate Anthony Constantino in New York’s 21st Congressional District, urging voters to back the businessman and former professional boxer eight days before Election Day.
Trump described Constantino as an entrepreneur and professional boxer who had erected a “controversial” sign in his honor despite local opposition. The post gave Constantino what Trump called his “Complete and Total Endorsement” to represent the district. Trump also shared a link to voting resources by mentioning the source (see swampthevoteusa).
Trump attacked Constantino’s opponent, Democrat Blake Gendebien, calling him “Reckless, Radical, and Dangerous” in the post. Trump said Gendebien opposed eliminating taxes on tips, overtime and Social Security benefits and accused him of supporting higher taxes, open borders and policies Trump characterized as harmful to children. Trump offered no sourcing for those claims about Gendebien’s policy positions.
Here is the full post on truthsocial: “It is my Great Honor to endorse America First Patriot, Anthony Constantino, who is running to represent the wonderful people of New York’s 21st Congressional District. Anthony has been such a Great Supporter that he actually put up a somewhat “controversial” sign, against strong opposition, in my honor. The sign is still there! A Successful Entrepreneur, Businessman, and Professional Boxer, before running for Congress, Anthony is a Proven Leader who has dedicated his life to serving his Community. His opponent, Blake Gendebien, is a Radical Left Democrat who is opposed to NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, and NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY and, if he and the Dumocrats ever got in, all of these things will be terminated. He wants massive Tax Increases, Open Borders, Men playing in Women’s Sports, and Transgender Mutilization of your Children. Blake Gendebien is Reckless, Radical, and Dangerous! On the other hand, in Congress, Anthony will fight tirelessly to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Strengthen our Military/Veterans, Safeguard our Elections, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment. Anthony Constantino has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Representative from New York’s 21st Congressional District. GET OUT AND VOTE FOR ANTHONY — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! Trump” on October 26, 2026 at 4:45 PM ET.
This is Trump’s 14th message released today, and the last post was 1 minute ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 167 of his 563 posts over the last 30 days classified as Elections posts.
The endorsement arrived as New York voters already have access to the ballot box. Early voting in the state began on October 24, 2026, and runs through November 1, 2026, with Election Day set for November 3, 2026, according to swampthevoteusa. The in-person absentee ballot request deadline falls on November 2, 2026, according to swampthevoteusa.
Constantino, if elected, would represent a sprawling upstate New York district. Trump said the candidate would fight to cut taxes and regulations, promote domestic manufacturing, strengthen border security and defend the Second Amendment. The endorsement signals the value Republicans place on holding or flipping House seats in New York as both parties compete for control of the chamber heading into the midterm elections.
Voters in the district will decide the contest on November 3, 2026. The winner will join the next session of Congress in January 2027.
Trump’s endorsement pattern in congressional races has intensified ahead of the 2026 midterms. He used identical language — “Complete and Total Endorsement” — when he backed Saritha Komatireddy for New York attorney general on August 14, 2026, according to followtrumpstruth. That post similarly attacked the Democratic incumbent and listed policy priorities in rapid succession, a template Trump has repeated across dozens of races as Republicans seek to expand their House majority.

President Trump is the author of The Art of the Deal, Think Like a Billionaire, and Think Big. Analyst and Trump supporter Rod Martin points to The Art of the Deal, Trump's 1987 book, as an explanation of his deal-making philosophy: making big announcements, pivoting often in public statements and, Martin says, ultimately getting what he wanted all along. Critics contend that Trump's books were published decades ago or were aimed at making money, not shedding light. "Generally," Martin said, "critics don't read The Art of the Deal. If they did, they would understand."
