Nidal Malik Hasan is an American mass murderer, former United States Army major and former physician who perpetrated the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, killing 13 people and injuring 32 others, on November 5, 2009. Hasan, an Army Medical Corps psychiatrist, admitted to the shootings at his court-martial in August 2013.
