WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump shared a video on Truth Social promoting figures he said show America’s economy is booming under his administration.

The video cites U.S. Census Bureau data that Trump said put the nation’s poverty rate at an all-time low, with minority groups seeing the biggest declines. It also references an Atlanta Fed projection of 5.1% GDP growth for the third quarter. The clip claims median household income, adjusted for inflation, is now higher than at any point since 1967.

On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 92 of his 566 posts over the last 30 days classified as image-only posts.

The video features a host and a guest introduced as Steve Moore, described in the segment as the founder of Unleash Prosperity and author of “Trumponomics.” Moore said in the clip that median income in the United States had risen to $87,600 and that the lowest-income Americans posted the biggest percentage gains. He also said the earnings gap between men and women had shrunk to what he called the lowest level ever recorded.

Trump used the video to frame the numbers as a rebuttal to critics ahead of the vote. “This must be stopped by every right-minded American at the ballot box in November,” a speaker in the video said, noting the election was 47 days away. The segment tied the figures to investment in semiconductor and pharmaceutical plants and to renewed automobile manufacturing.
