— Donald J. Trump posted a video on Truth Social showing an interview with a Hispanic supporter outside a rally in Corpus Christi, Texas, who praised his honesty and urged voters to focus on policy ahead of midterm elections.

The video features an interviewer speaking with a woman wearing a cross necklace near what appears to be a rally venue in South Texas. She tells the interviewer she came because Trump was appearing and she wanted to hear his message about the upcoming midterms. She describes the elections as “a very big deal” and urges voters to pay attention to policy rather than personality.

Here is the full post on truthsocial: “I love the shirt, love the cross necklace. Why are you here today? Because Trump is here and I’m really excited to hear what he has to say about this upcoming election. It’s a very big deal these midterms and I wish people would pay attention. It is about policy. The primaries were for picking the best candidate. Now it is about policy and our country is so divided. Not only that, I’m so glad the Democrats are waking up and saying and showing that a lot of the party has gone so far left and this is not okay. This is not okay for our children. This is not okay for our grandchildren and I’m just very excited to hear the message today. I know he will not let us down. He’s always amazing. This will be the second time I’ve seen him, so I’m very pumped up. Wow, second time. Where was the first time? I was here, uh, front row, uh, earlier in the summer. Front row, Joe? That was me. Okay, so another question. We’re here in South Texas, Corpus Christi. Um, a lot of Hispanics—I’m Hispanic. Why do you think so many Hispanics love President Trump? Because, you know, he is brutally honest. We are so tired of things being sugar coated. They will say anything to appease us, but sometimes you just have to hear it exactly for how it is and it might not always be easy on the ears, but he is real and we know here in South Texas there is a lot of corruption, unfortunately. The small rural towns are very, very corrupted and we’re just excited that he has finally announced some rewards for those people who turn in anybody who has taken money from the government unlawfully. So I am very eagerly looking forward to pulling a lot of open records in my county and God bless Trump.” on October 27, 2026 at 12:07 PM ET.

This is Trump’s 15th message released today, and the last post was 1 minute ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 117 of his 577 posts over the last 30 days classified as image-only posts.

The woman identifies herself as Hispanic and describes Trump as “brutally honest,” saying voters in South Texas are tired of politicians who “sugar coat” their messages. She tells the interviewer this is her second time attending a Trump event in Corpus Christi, having sat in the front row at an earlier summer appearance.

“He is real and we know here in South Texas there is a lot of corruption, unfortunately,” the woman said in the video. She praised what she described as Trump’s announcement of rewards for people who report individuals who have “taken money from the government unlawfully.” She said she planned to pull open records in her county in response.

The video touches on themes Trump has emphasized throughout his political career, including outreach to Hispanic voters and criticism of the Democratic Party. The woman said she was “glad the Democrats are waking up” and expressed concern that parts of the party had moved too far to the left, calling that shift “not okay for our children” and “not okay for our grandchildren.”

Trump posted the video without any written caption, letting the roughly 100-second interview speak for itself. The clip features two speakers — the interviewer and the woman — discussing the rally, midterm elections and local governance concerns in rural South Texas communities.

President Trump is the author of The Art of the Deal, Think Like a Billionaire, and Think Big. Analyst and Trump supporter Rod Martin points to The Art of the Deal, Trump's 1987 book, as an explanation of his deal-making philosophy: making big announcements, pivoting often in public statements and, Martin says, ultimately getting what he wanted all along. Critics contend that Trump's books were published decades ago or were aimed at making money, not shedding light. "Generally," Martin said, "critics don't read The Art of the Deal. If they did, they would understand."
