WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump praised the United States Coast Guard on its 236th birthday and pressed Congress to fully fund the nation’s oldest continuous maritime service. The president said the first of 11 new Arctic Security Cutters he ordered will arrive in 2028. Trump tied the milestone to border security, drug interdiction and Arctic sovereignty.
