WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump endorsed former Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer for Florida’s 25th Congressional District, backing the America First Republican over Democratic Representative Jared Moskowitz.
Trump called Singer a “Proven Leader” and cast the contest as a choice between tax cuts and what he described as a radical Democratic agenda. The endorsement lands ahead of the November general election in a seat both parties view as competitive.

Singer, a former Boca Raton mayor, won the Republican primary in Florida’s newly redistricted District 25 in August 2026, according to wpbf. He attributed his victory to grassroots support from voters in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties, according to wpbf. Singer is listed as a Republican challenger for the Florida House District 25 seat, and his authorized committee reported total receipts of $2.2 million from December 17, 2025 to July 29, 2026, according to fec.gov.
Moskowitz, the Democrat Trump named as Singer’s opponent, currently represents Florida’s 23rd Congressional District and has served since January 3, 2023, according to govtrack.us. He is a member of the New Democrat Coalition and is next up for reelection in 2026, according to govtrack.us. Moskowitz is running in the redrawn District 25 because of redistricting, and he won the Democratic primary there in August 2026, according to wpbf.
