Trump Claims U.S. Weapons Output Hits Record High, Flooding Middle East Forces
Trump says defense factories run around the clock to build Patriots, THAAD systems and Tomahawks, delivering elite arms daily to U.S. forces in the Middle East.
WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump said the United States is manufacturing more elite weapons than at any point in its history, with daily deliveries flowing to American forces in the Middle East. Trump made the claim in a post on Truth Social, tying the surge to defense factories he said now operate around the clock.
Here is the full post on truthsocial: “I’ve just received a Report that the United States is producing more Exquisite and Elite Weapons than at any Time in our History. They are being delivered on a daily basis to our Forces in the Middle East, and beyond. Our Defense Company Factories are moving 24/7, while at the same time building, on average, 4 to 5 largescale brand new Plants, each! A primary focus of this production has been Patriots, THAAD Systems, Tomahawks, and other Standard Missile Systems, of which we already have large numbers in stock. Trump” on September 14, 2026 at 12:22 PM ET.
This is Trump’s 5th message released today, and the last post was 50 minutes ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 72 of his 577 posts over the last 30 days classified as Foreign Policy posts.
Trump’s assertion of ample stockpiles follows months of official pressure to speed up production. The Pentagon called on the U.S. defense industry to accelerate output to replenish diminished munitions, including those depleted in the war with Iran, according to Al Jazeera. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the department was focused on providing “the weapons our warfighters need at the pace the threat demands,” according to aljazeera.
The two air-defense systems Trump named have been the focus of new government contracts. The Pentagon said it signed seven-year framework agreements with Lockheed Martin Corporation(NYSE: LMT) and General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems to boost production of Patriot and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense interceptors, according to thenationalnews. Michael Duffey, the undersecretary for acquisition and sustainment, said the agreements would reduce bureaucratic delays and cut red tape, according to thenationalnews.

The deals aim to accelerate delivery schedules for critical missile subcomponents supporting the THAAD and Patriot Advanced Capability-3 programs, according to Time sofindia.indiatimes. Both systems form key parts of the layered U.S. air and missile defense architecture, designed to intercept threats at different stages of flight, according to timesofindia.indiatimes.
Trump’s push has run alongside foreign sales. His administration approved a proposed $1.96 billion arms package for Saudi Arabia as he called for faster weapons production at a Pennsylvania defense summit, according to sana.sy. Speaking at the event, Trump said the United States produced the world’s highest-quality weapons but needed to manufacture them more quickly, according to sana.sy.
Some analysts frame the buildup as a strategic shift rather than a simple supply problem. Military operations in Iran and support for allies had drawn down U.S. stockpiles, raising concern over air-defense and precision-guided weapons inventories, according to newsweek. The region is entering a period in which military power will depend increasingly on what states can manufacture, replenish and sustain, according to newsweek.
