Trump touts White House list of 250 faith victories in anniversary year
Trump links to a White House release cataloging 250 actions his administration calls wins for religious liberty, houses of worship and school choice during America's 250th year.
WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump promoted a White House release cataloging what his administration calls his top 250 victories for the faith community. Trump shared the link during America’s 250th anniversary year. The document ties the count to the nation’s semiquincentennial and frames the tally as evidence of his religious-liberty record.
Here is the full post on truthsocial: “President Trump’s Top 250 Victories For People of Faith: https://www.whitehouse.gov/releases/2026/09/president-trumps-top-250-victories-for-people-of-faith/” on September 17, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET.
This is Trump’s 1st message released today, and the last post was 9 hours ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 27 of his 578 posts over the last 30 days classified as reposts and external links.
The release, published September 17, 2026, carries the heading “Promises Made, Promises Kept” and asserts that no one has fought harder or gained more for believers, by mentioning the source (see whitehouse.gov). It groups the actions under categories that include protecting religious liberty, defending houses of worship, securing conscience rights, expanding school choice and supporting Israel. It ties the number to the calendar, stating that as the country celebrates its 250th birthday, the list offers 250 reasons Trump is what it calls the most pro-faith, pro-life and pro-religious liberty president in American history.

The document lists specific administration steps under each heading. It says Trump established the White House Faith Office, described as the first White House office focused exclusively on faith and located in the West Wing. It says he created the Religious Liberty Commission, which held a year-long series of hearings with almost 100 witnesses before delivering a report to the President. The release adds that the Department of Justice issued guidance directing all departments and agencies to protect religious liberty, and that the Department of Education released prayer guidance affirming the right of students and school officials to pray in school.
The faith list arrives amid a run of anniversary-themed messaging tied to the semiquincentennial. Trump posted his own ranking of U.S. presidents to truthsocial on August 27, placing himself alone in a “greatest” tier above Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Franklin D. Roosevelt according to yahoo. He updated that ranking on September 6 to add figures such as Ronald Reagan in a “Near Great” tier according to yahoo.
Historians have pushed back on Trump’s self-assessment. The most recent Presidential Greatness Project survey of 154 academics ranked Trump last of 45 presidents, with a rating of 10.92 against Lincoln’s 93.87 according to theguardian. Justin Vaughn, a political science professor at Coastal Carolina University and co-creator of the project, said the ranking “It’s not consistent with the findings of the surveys we’ve conducted” according to theguardian.
