— Donald J. Trump shared a video on Truth Social featuring Andrew Ferguson, described in the clip as the vice chairman of a task force to eliminate fraud.

Here is the full post on truthsocial: “Truth Social post containing one video. Video transcript Andrew Ferguson is the vice chairman of the task force to eliminate fraud and he joins us tonight. Thank you for joining us Andrew. Um you know Americans as you know are the most generous people on Earth and they give to uh charities and then they uh allow their tax dollars to be spent uh to help people and then the government does this with it.” on September 17, 2026 at 10:13 PM ET.

This is Trump’s 16th message released today, and the last post was 49 minutes ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 91 of his 565 posts over the last 30 days classified as image-only posts.

In the clip, Ferguson said protecting taxpayers requires two steps. “You have to make sure that money doesn’t go out the door to the wrong people for the wrong purpose and when it does throw them in jail,” he said, adding that “it took President Trump to make this happen.”

Ferguson pointed to California in his remarks. He said the government cut off hundreds of millions of dollars flowing to what he called the Los Angeles homelessness authority, and he credited HUD Secretary Scott Turner with halting the funding. He said officials are pursuing charges tied to the spending.

Ferguson also cited a San Diego case. He said 10 people were arrested on Tuesday for running what he called ghost daycares, and he said the operators took tens of millions of dollars. He linked the fraud fight to border enforcement, saying that cutting off access to people entering the United States removed an incentive to steal from federal programs.
