— Donald J. Trump urged Ohio voters to cast ballots for Republican candidates in every race, sharing a link to a Republican National Committee voting tool as the state’s early in-person voting period enters its final stretch.

Trump directed voters to swampthevoteusa.com, a site paid for by the Republican National Committee that lists Ohio’s election timeline and helps voters find polling locations (see swampthevoteusa). The site shows that early voting began on October 6 and ends on November 1, with the mail-in ballot request deadline set for October 27 and Election Day on November 3, according to swampthevoteusa.

Here is the full post on truthsocial: “OHIO! Early Voting, in-person, is UNDERWAY NOW in the Great State of Ohio. If you have a mail-in ballot, return it immediately and, if not, GO VOTE at the Polls RIGHT NOW, and get everyone you know to VOTE FOR THE REPUBLICAN IN EVERY RACE, UP AND DOWN THE BALLOT! Whether you VOTE early, absentee, by mail, or in-person, Republicans must SWAMP the Radical Left Dumocrats with massive turnout! In Ohio, you can cast your early Vote, in-person, all the way through November 1st. SO IMPORTANT — PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE. MAGA! Trump Find your Voting Location here: https://swampthevoteusa.com/ohio/” on October 20, 2026 at 3:34 PM ET.

This is Trump’s 25th message released today, and the last post was 1 minute ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 83 of his 527 posts over the last 30 days classified as Elections posts.

Ohio’s marquee contest this cycle is a special U.S. Senate election pitting Republican Jon Husted against former Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown, who is seeking to reclaim the seat Vice President JD Vance won in 2022, according to newsweek. All 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats are on the ballot in November, along with key gubernatorial races, according to newsweek. Democrats need 17 seats to win the Senate, while Republicans need 20, and Republicans currently hold a slim House majority of 219 to 213, according to newsweek.

Early voting data from Ohio’s first days of balloting has drawn attention from both parties. In 2024, Republicans led Democrats by 30 percentage points in counties that Trump carried by 20 points or more, but that gap has shrunk to only 5 points this cycle, according to newsweek. Counties that voted most strongly for former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024 are now about 25 points more Democratic, according to newsweek. Ohio has reached about 11 percent of its total early voting turnout from 2022, according to newsweek.

Paul Beck, professor emeritus of political science at Ohio State University, said Democrats tend to vote early more than Republicans. “Polls are reporting an enthusiasm advantage for the Dems this year, not necessarily associated with their edge in early voting,” Beck said, according to newsweek.

Beck called the data a “good sign for Democrats” and added that early voting trends and polling represent a warning sign for Husted. “With all the pro-GOP spending this year, the needle has not moved much, which is why he is either behind or even in the polls,” Beck said, according to newsweek.

Ohio voters will decide the Senate race and other contests on November 3, 2026. The outcome will determine whether Republicans retain their Senate majority or cede ground to Democrats heading into the final two years of Trump’s term.

President Trump is the author of The Art of the Deal, Think Like a Billionaire, and Think Big. Analyst and Trump supporter Rod Martin points to The Art of the Deal, Trump's 1987 book, as an explanation of his deal-making philosophy: making big announcements, pivoting often in public statements and, Martin says, ultimately getting what he wanted all along. Critics contend that Trump's books were published decades ago or were aimed at making money, not shedding light. "Generally," Martin said, "critics don't read The Art of the Deal. If they did, they would understand."
