— Donald J. Trump amplified a social-media post attributed to Sen.John Barrasso, the Wyoming Republican who serves as Senate Republican whip, listing what the graphic calls the policies of the liberal left.

The post presents a bulleted list of policy positions ascribed to political opponents, including abolishing the Senate and defunding the military and police. It closes with the line that Americans demand and deserve better. The message contains no vote, bill, or dated action, and offers a characterization of an opposing party rather than a legislative development.

Here is the full post on truthsocial: “The policies of the liberal left: – Abolish the Senate – Replace the Presidency and Supreme Court – Abolish ICE and borders – Amnesty for illegal immigrant criminals – Defund the military and police – Abolish prisons Americans demand and deserve better.” on September 4, 2026 at 10:56 PM ET.

This is Trump’s 21st message released today, and the last post was 1 minute ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 69 of his 631 posts over the last 30 days classified as Domestic Policy posts.

Democratic Governor Dave Freudenthal named Barrasso to the Senate seat following the death of Craig L. Thomas, and his special appointment ran until a special election in November 2008, according to EBSCO Information Services. Under Wyoming law, the governor could consider only three candidates submitted by the state’s Republican State Central Committee, and Freudenthal named Barrasso to the seat on June 22, 2007, according to ebsco. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University in 1974 and a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1978, according to ebsco. Before entering politics, he worked for more than twenty years as a certified orthopedic surgeon and served as chief of staff at Banner Wyoming Medical Center, according to ebsco.

Barrasso has used his own platform to press the same message the amplified graphic carries. His office published items with headlines calling out what it described as far-left extremists controlling the Democratic Party, according to barrasso.senate.gov. It also carried a piece stating that Republicans are the party of results while Democrats are the party of radicals, according to barrasso.senate.gov.

The amplified post lands amid a stretch of Senate activity in which Trump has pressed Republicans on chamber rules. Trump faced rare Republican pushback as he pressed the Senate to scrap the filibuster, according to Associated Press. Republican leaders rejected Trump’s demands to scrap the Senate filibuster to end a shutdown, according to apnews. Barrasso’s office also called on Senate Democrats to avoid another painful shutdown, according to barrasso.senate.gov.
