— Donald J. Trump shared a video on Truth Social claiming that military recruiting across every branch of the U.S. armed forces has reached record levels since his November 2024 election victory, and announcing what he called a new counter-cartel coalition targeting drug trafficking organizations in the Western Hemisphere.

Here is the full post on truthsocial: “and recruiting for every branch has been record setting ever since President Trump won in November of 2024. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves, pilots, special forces, all setting decades long recruiting records. You see, Americans want to serve when they are led by strong patriots, not by weak weirdos. Makes sense. And all this matters because you know why it matters, because it translates to the battlefield. Our enemies know we will act decisively, our allies know that it’s time for them to step up. Drug cartels, the terrorist organizations of our hemisphere, who’ve previously run our hemisphere, are now on the run in our hemisphere, courtesy of our new counter cartel coalition. The A triple C.” on October 2, 2026 at 10:24 PM ET.

This is Trump’s 11th message released today, and the last post was 4 hours ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 144 of his 538 posts over the last 30 days classified as image-only posts.

The 60-second video features a speaker crediting Trump’s leadership for what the post describes as decades-long recruiting highs across the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves, pilots, and special forces. The speaker said Americans choose to serve “when they are led by strong patriots, not by weak weirdos.” The post also announced what Trump called the “counter cartel coalition” — referred to in the video as “the A triple C” — framing cartels as “the terrorist organizations of our hemisphere” now on the defensive. Trump claimed the coalition has reversed cartel dominance across the region.

President Trump is the author of Trump: The Art of the Deal, Trump: Think Like a Billionaire: Everything You Need to Know About Success, Real Estate, and Life, and Think Big: Make It Happen in Business and Life. Analyst and Trump supporter Rod Martin points to The Art of the Deal, Trump's 1987 book, as an explanation of his deal-making philosophy: making big announcements, pivoting often in public statements and, Martin says, ultimately getting what he wanted all along. Critics contend that Trump's books were published decades ago or were aimed at making money, not shedding light. "Generally," Martin said, "critics don't read The Art of the Deal. If they did, they would understand."
