WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump said the United States is striking Iranian Targets near the Strait of Hormuz, describing the assault as large and powerful in a post on Truth Social. Trump framed the strikes as retaliation for what he called a failed Iranian attempt to mine the waterway and for missiles fired at a U.S. base in Jordan.
