Trump Backs Six Republican House Candidates in Missouri
Trump endorses a full slate of GOP incumbents across six Missouri congressional districts as early voting nears its final days.
WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump endorsed six Republican candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives in Missouri, urging voters to the polls as the state’s early voting window narrows before Election Day.
Trump named Ann Wagner for Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District, Bob Onder for the 3rd, Mark Alford for the 4th, Rick Brattin for the 5th, Eric Burlison for the 7th, and Jason Smith for the 8th. He called them “Great Patriots” who have his “Complete and Total Endorsement.”
“They will never let you down,” Trump said in the post.
The endorsement arrived with less than two weeks until Election Day and during a period in which no-excuse absentee in-person voting is already underway across the state. Trump mentioned the source (see swampthevoteusa) to direct supporters to find their voting locations.
Here is the full post on truthsocial: “TO THE GREAT PEOPLE OF MISSOURI, GET OUT AND VOTE FOR: – Ann Wagner for U.S. Congress (MO-02) – Bob Onder for U.S. Congress (MO-03) – Mark Alford for U.S. Congress (MO-04) – Rick Brattin for U.S. Congress (MO-05) – Eric Burlison for U.S. Congress (MO-07) – Jason Smith for U.S. Congress (MO-08) These Great Patriots have my Complete and Total Endorsement — They will never let you down! Trump” The quoted earlier post read: “MISSOURI! Early Voting, in-person, is UNDERWAY NOW in the Great State of Missouri. If you have a mail-in ballot, return it immediately and, if not, GO VOTE at the Polls RIGHT NOW, and get everyone you know to VOTE FOR THE REPUBLICAN IN EVERY RACE, UP AND DOWN THE BALLOT! Whether you VOTE early, absentee, by mail, or in-person, Republicans must SWAMP the Radical Left Dumocrats with massive turnout! In Missouri, you can cast your early Vote, in-person, all the way through November 2nd. SO IMPORTANT — PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE. MAGA! This is Trump’s 48th message released today, and the last post was 6 minutes ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 108 of his 563 posts over the last 30 days classified as Elections posts.

The endorsement covers six of Missouri’s eight congressional districts. Trump did not name candidates for the 1st or 6th Districts.
Missouri’s general election timeline sets the voter registration deadline at October 7, 2026, with no-excuse absentee voting beginning October 20 and the mail-in ballot request deadline falling on October 21, according to swampthevoteusa. In-person early voting runs through November 2, one day before the general election on November 3, according to swampthevoteusa.
Trump’s quoted post directed supporters to a Republican National Committee website that provides personalized voting location tools for Missouri residents. The site, paid for by the RNC, encourages Republican turnout and offers options to share voting plans on social media, according to swampthevoteusa.
The stakes center on Republican efforts to hold existing House seats in a midterm cycle. Missouri’s congressional map includes several districts that lean heavily Republican, and the endorsement of a full slate signals an effort to prevent any erosion of support in conservative territory. Voters who follow through on Trump’s call could reinforce GOP margins, while lower-than-expected turnout could give Democratic challengers an opening.
Trump’s batch endorsement of Missouri congressional candidates echoes a moment from the state’s 2022 Republican Senate primary. Trump endorsed “ERIC” without specifying a last name in a race that featured both Eric Schmitt, then the state attorney general, and Eric Greitens, a former governor who had resigned in 2018, according to cbsnews. Both candidates claimed the endorsement. Schmitt won the primary and went on to win the Senate seat.

President Trump is the author of The Art of the Deal, Think Like a Billionaire, and Think Big. Analyst and Trump supporter Rod Martin points to The Art of the Deal, Trump's 1987 book, as an explanation of his deal-making philosophy: making big announcements, pivoting often in public statements and, Martin says, ultimately getting what he wanted all along. Critics contend that Trump's books were published decades ago or were aimed at making money, not shedding light. "Generally," Martin said, "critics don't read The Art of the Deal. If they did, they would understand."
